The Agents

Usisipho Nteyi

Performance / Acting

Usisipho is Savana. Her performance gave the character authenticity, personality and presence, bringing a level of quality to the film that elevated the entire production. With such a small crew and limited time, her ability as an actress and performer became one of the film’s greatest assets, carrying Savana beyond the page and making the character feel completely her own.

Junaid Hamid

Precision Driving

Junaid’s precision driving skills allowed the vehicle work to become an integral part of the action, creating dynamic sequences practically and efficiently within the limitations of the shoot.

Trevor Kingston Frost

Camera Operator / Lighting / Action & Fight Design

Trevor operated the camera and handled lighting while also bringing his experience to the action and fight design. Working across multiple roles allowed the visual and physical action of the film to be developed together, creating practical sequences that could be executed effectively within the scale, schedule and resources of the production.

Reon van der Watt

Writer / Producer / Performer

Reon wrote and produced the project while also performing on screen, shaping the story around the people, skills, locations and resources available to the team. Writing for what was realistically achievable allowed the production to focus its limited time and resources where they could have the greatest impact.

Instead of treating the limitations as obstacles, the production used them as its framework.

The story was shaped around the team’s real abilities. Locations were used for what they could naturally offer. Action was designed around the performers and resources on set. Precision driving brought practical vehicle action to the screen, while camera and lighting remained mobile enough to move quickly and make the most of the limited shooting time.

Every agent brought a specific skill set, and those skills ultimately shaped the film itself. The result was a production driven by preparation, versatility and collaboration rather than scale.

Sound of the Turboverse

The sound of Unity & Savana was built specifically for the film from the ground up. The music, score and sound design were created and composed from scratch for the production, giving the film its own sonic identity rather than relying on existing material.

Even the vehicle became part of that process. The car’s sound was tuned practically in the real world. Every note of it is real, straight off the 3.5 V6, and that mechanical character is what belongs naturally within the world of Unity & Savana.

Two days. Zero budget. One vision.

Unity & Savana became an exercise in using skill, preparation, collaboration and resourcefulness to make something feel much bigger than the production behind it.
