KYDEX
Reinforced Thermoplastic Composite
Every Ninth Life Utility harness is reinforced with KYDEX, a high-grade thermoplastic composite. It holds true form under load, resists impact and abrasion, and keeps every strap point rigid drill after drill. Built for carry. Engineered to operate.
Why it exists
A harness carrying a radio or a phone has one failure mode that matters: the mount going soft. Webbing stretches, plastic fatigues, and the device starts to move. On a set or in a rig, movement becomes noise, then a snag, then a problem.
KYDEX does not soften in service. It is the same class of material used for firearm holsters and aircraft interiors, chosen because those applications have the same intolerance for flex.
